48kHz does not sound correct. Is 44.kHz the only "supported" sample rate?

I have noticed that when using SmartPedal in 48kHz sample rate the sound has shrill high frequencies which do not show up when using it at 44.1kHz. Profiling a 48kHz out.wav (using a 48kHz SmartPedal_Capture.wav) and playing back the json with SmartPedal in 48kHz does not sound good either. Harsh, shrill, etc.

Is the WaveNet algorithm only tuned for 44.1kHz? If this is the case, is it possible to implement a resampler so that SmartPedal can be used with other sample rates and get correct sound?
