toggle hotkey does not toggle guake off when guake has window focus in Xubuntu 15.10

title says it all. I open Guake with the toggle hotkey, but can't close/minimize it anymore with the toggle key while Guake has focus. Once I click on another application window that's not maximized, I can still see Guake lurking behind it. When I then press my toggle button guake disappears/minimizes. I've had this issue since I upgraded to 15.10

Hello, just want to know, when this happens for you is the rest of the system running particularly slow as well? I think I can reproduce this to an extent by running guake on a potato.
