Guake window moves a little to the left at each invocation

I run xubuntu 24.04, with regolith version 3.3, and I also use guake version 3.10. I've set guake to appear at the top of the screen, full width, and not quite full height. Every time I summon the quake window with the hotkey, it appears slightly further to the left than last time, so after I've summoned and dismissed it 20 times or so, I can no longer see the leftmost column in my terminal, as it has disappeared out past the edge of the screen, and correspondingly there is an empty gap between the terminal window and the edge of the screen on the right side. If I toggle full screen on and off, it goes back to where it should be, but the problem remains.

I should probably note that on first opening guake, it appears centered vertically, and I have to toggle fullscreen on and off to get it to appear correctly at the top of the screen. I interpret this to be some sort of problem between regolith/i3 and guake, but I'm not sure how to fix it.

I have the same issue, except Guake is escaping down with every invocation. I run Debian 13 with Guake 3.10, i3 4.24. Guake 3.9 on Debian 12 did not have the issue (but i3 was 4.22, if that's the cause).

I can add that actually the guake window move a little up and to the left, not only to the left.

I can also add that opening a new tab with ctrl - shift - t will reset the window to the correct position.
