ENV variable cleanup needed

There's a lot of reading ENV when we would be cleaner to read from one config (that can be set from env).

I use this in most projects https://rubygems.org/gems/dotenv-rails/versions/2.1.1

We can start chipping away at all the ENV in views to start with.
