Anyone is welcome to present evidence to the contrary but its been like this for over 15 years now on DOSBox. Of course we could be displaying it wrong but...
If we see similar behaviour in Windows or Mac OS versions of this game we can close this.
I'm going to install this on Mac OS 8.6 within 24 hours and if I get the same result I'm going to close this.
Next they ask for adding hard disk and floppy drive seeking noises. Sure we could do all this but that would make the product worse since it would take away...
Does this exit properly when run with Rosetta?
FreeDOS EDIT is good and very close to EDIT on MS-DOS.

I think they wrote them so they could have mostly GPL clean DOS "distro" with maintainability because younger folks don't understand x86 assembly.
My main worry would be that many Linux distros will drop us if there's anything thats not FOSS included. DOSBox-X isn't carried by many Linux distros because of this.
