Counterspell Bugs
I found some (vanilla) counterspell bugs while trying to figure some stuff out last night.
Some of them are caused by the code explicitly checking prepared spells. This leads to:
- Sorcerers don't use up any spells when they counterspell
- Sorcerers can't use Dispel Magic to counterspell
However, also:
- When a wizard uses Dispel Magic to counter, it uses up two copies, if you have them
An aspect that is just not implemented, I think, is:
- You shouldn't need to make the Spellcraft check to counter with Dispel Magic; the check is just to know which spell to counter with
Probably low priority, since I imagine no one counterspells anyway.
Edit: Oh, I forgot:
- Some of the stuff in the roll log makes no sense. It looks like the original caster is counterspelling their own spell or something.
