news api migration to v2

as I was getting interested in this project, I saw that there is not much documentation on newsapi.org, furthermore, they are now migrating to version 2 of the api, for which they do have some more documentation and examples.

If it is possible, I would like to take on the migration to v2 of newsapi. Let me know what you think.

I'm not @Griffintaur, but did you make any progress toward this? I made a fork on Python3 with a lot of cleanup, and switching the API to a newer version would likely be beneficial.

Hi @Griffintaur, it appears that this issue was never resolved, so I looked over the News API docs and was able to quickly migrate to V2.
