There should not be a time limit

There should be an option to play a more laidback version where the game will progress when everyone responds. But does not need everyone to be online for its entirety.

There are a couple game timer configurations planned. One will be where an admin of the group can advance the timer, the other will be a "real time" game, where each day / lynch / night is a full 24 hour period.

However - simply having the game not advance until everyone has made their choice will lead to issues, for instance if a player just.. stops playing. Besides the fact that it would hang the game for everyone, I wouldn't be able to update the node without killing the game.

I believe the admin can always circumvent any problems having an inactive player would cause. I feel it is a bigger problem trying to get 20 plus people to be online for an entire game unless the group is already in the middle of an activity. In all cases where the players are normal working adults or even schooling teenagers, it is much more of a hassle trying to find that exact time slot where everyone is free. The issue of people not playing can be easily solved with an admin set time limit or manually licking the player. In this way it would allow the players a lot more freedom in playing the game yet provide options to disable this function at will. I believe it will help more players find time to play and allow for different paces of games.

I just installed the bot and I came here on Github just for this problem. Please, give us the option to play asynchronously, for us it is just unplayable the way it is now. Both the configurations you suggested would be great (the admin of the group can advance the timer or the "real time" game)

Same problem, great game, difficult to play with these timings, and it would be more immersive if the game could be set as players want to play.

I understand the node problem, and don't know how to solve that. Giving someone the gamemaster role could work? I imagine this could be difficult to introduce, I haven't seen the code because I'm not very skilled in programming.

I think it will be better when it doesn's have time limit. Here is a idea for you.If everyone agree game continue ,admin has power to let it turn to next stage. That will be better than Wating for everyone choosing . Because admin can continue the game no matter whether all players reply. I don't know this idea will or not help you,but it can solve the problem you says. Thank you. Werewolf-Bot will bring me more satisfaction if being better.

The issue with allowing an admin to advance the timer is there is not always an admin watching every single game, let alone playing every single game.

This idea's benefit is that players and admin don't be online at likewise time. Although the game's speed will be slow,it could assure everyone has a chance to select futures.

I would like to second this feature request. even a longer timer (2h or so) per peroid would be excelent.

I literally only just created this account in order to "vote" for this issue/improvement. As of now the game is progressing too quickly for our group as most of its members are playing such chat-bot-games casually, during downtimes of whatever they're doing otherwise.

This would be a big project to realize, it's not exactly easy codewise. I will put it on my list of possible projects, though, since I like the idea.

After playing a lot with discord vc instead of typing in a tg group, I found timers to be pretty annoying. Because via voicechat, the group is sometimes much faster at deciding on lynches, etc, we found ourselves waiting for next phases often.

So here are my ideas, which could work as either another game mode or might need an entirely new bot (I don't know as I have no idea about code): The user who starts the game (maybe /startparty or sth like that) gets the moderator role (as @iozudono suggested) and gets control over the day and lynch timers. I think night timer should stay bot controlled so n ighties get a safe time limit to work with. I'm not sure wether the moderator should/could also be able to join the game as a role (may be a config, depends on trust in the moderator to not abuse skips for their good). Then, the moderator gets either buttons in PM or commands (/skipday, /skipvote, which I think already exist) to jump to the next phase. To avoid endless games, there could still be a bigger timelimit to each phase or a moderator afk timer that fully kills the game. Also I don't know if it's possible to allow just a certain amount of games of this certain mode to keep the nodes happy (that's why I suggested it might need a new bot above)

Again, I really have no clue about coding, so tell me where this fails.
