Children get removed from view

As I start scrolling downward in the scroll container the items inside the LayoutGroup start to dissapear from the top much faster than they should. The further down I scroll, the greater this vanishing is until there is nothing left on the screen. This reverses as I start scrolling back up.

I've went exactly according to the examples provided in example 04/scroll_container

is there something I must do to set some sort of offset? The docs are not helping at all, im afraid :/
