Thanks for your helpful software, it is convenient for me. And I am still wondering whether this software can be used to process matatranscriptomic data, or whether it can only work with metagenomes? Hope for your insightful observations.

Although this is not tested/benchmarked in matatranscriptomic data, I do not doubt its adaptability in matatranscriptomic data. In some cases where the contigs are too short, VirBot might fail, because it is based on Prodigal.
