Incompatibility issue between GregTech and BOP

Open YoungGT opened this issue 4 years ago • 4 comments

Describe the bug Mo and Mn veins won't generate when playing with BOP I had already searched tons of chunks for them. I even used Xray but still couldn't find any trace. I searched the End, I quickly find them, so in no way did the problem cause by "bad luck". Versions Forge: 1.12.2-forge-14.23.5.2854 GTCE: 1.9.3.531 Gregicality: 0.21.2 BOP: 7.0.1.2444

Setup Playing Solo

Steps To Reproduce Additional context I did a few tests to check why the veins didn't generate. I first raised the weight of the veins in order to prevent "bad luck" cases. Then I quickly found them without BOP and still can't find with BOP, which repreduced the problem. I think that maybe vein generations are determined by biomes and BOP changes the biomes.

I tried this, but with GTCE 1.11.1.632. I found both grossular and molybdenite ore within about 100 blocks of spawn.

I cheated a bit, I set the following in config/gregtech.cfg

    I:additionalVeinsInSection=2

to make it generate more ore veins and used the scannable mod with extended search range.

What world type did you use? I used the BOP world type with default configuration.

If the ore vein is biome dependent, it would be mentioned in the config file you modified to change the weights. Otherwise the vein just needs stone, andesite, etc. to replace with the ores.

For reference the Mn and Mo veins are not modified by gregicality.

This might have already been fixed by #1418. Try 1.11.1 or above.

If Mo is referring to Molybdenum this ore is not naturally spawned but you can get Molybdenite which is compound ore from which it can be extracted.

If Mn is referring to Manganese then there is no ore like that but you can get it by smelting Pyrolusite or by processing other ores via Ore Washing, Centrifuging, Thermal Centrifuging.
