This issue is in relation to the exclusion of market based measures.

While we understand the reasoning behind the exclusion of Offsets and Carbon credits, we feel that PPA or on-site power generation should be taken into account. This will take into account a sincere effort by the data centre or the owner of the software system to run workloads on greener energy.

For example, consider a scenario where a developer creates an application that runs in their house with solar panels and designed to run only during sunny days. The SCI score should be able to reflect this.
