1) Increase contributors:

  • Increase participation in OSWG calls
    • Orientation calls should help
  • Increase participation in our projects
    • Hackathon will hopefully increase contributors to IF
    • Post hackathon comms what's next? Volunteers from member orgs could get involved in all our projects
    • Utilise Namrata's help in mailing lists and monthly member org syncs to highlight contribution opportunities
    • Provide our attendees with a highlight one slide (opportunities to contribute, examples of use cases eg. Dan celebrating the CA SDK use case internally within Avanade)
    • Be more specific about what skill set we're looking for, within our contribution opportunities

To measure this - sum total of all our contributors across all our projects

2) Increase adopters of our projects everywhere:

  • Take lessons learnt from UBS and Vesta's adoption of the CA SDK to give to other volunteers from member orgs to advocate for adoption within their org
  • Take lessons from IF adopters
  • Produce case studies for our projects
  • What guidance can we give PLs to turn the private adopters (learnt about on calls) into public adopters through a published article / report
  • Ask Namrata to ask in her member syncs
  • Having it as a Graduation criteria will help to

To measure this - difficult to measure, we'll rely on PL sharing this information One proxy is the number of forks

Actions @Sophietn check with hackathon team on whats next copy PLs to update their contributing.md files with up to date opportunities for volunteers to contribute @Sophietn to speak with CA SDK PL about how we confirmed SDK public adopters

Namrata's thoughts after Sophie filled her in on 3rd April

  • GSF are planning an event exclusively for our member network, where members will be given the opportunity to share their experience and why they choose to be part of the GSF, showcase the use of our tools, how it's impacting innovation within their organisation, their awareness of their carbon footprint
  • Members hosting a GSF summit event can this platform to bring private adopters into their line of sight
  • We can put out a 'Call for papers' to request private adopters make themselves known
