What do the Advance Mode and Advance Character do?

Advanced mode breaks down cargo by subtype. So instead of just "Basic Consumables" you might get "Basic Consumables/Soda Drink".

Advanced characters means it will generate an actual character for each passenger. You can click on their name to get their career history, skills, etc.
