Hi,

It would be nice to have the Editor translated into different languages. I can manage Czech and German translation. Is the system ready for translation? If so, where can I find translation files?

Hi, thanks for offering to do the translations for Czech and German! One of our core team members is German so he can help work with you on that (or just double-check your work since he'd probably appreciate it being offloaded to someone else).

But unfortunately we don't have time right now to implement the internationalization systems, and at the current time it would become a hindrance that slows down our other work. That's because, at least for the next quarter or two, we are transitioning away from a lot of legacy systems towards more permanent ones that will simplify our code and tech stack. Once we have a stable foundation in the updated tech stack, that will be when we can begin implementing the i18n systems without it causing a maintenance burden on the rest of the project and engineering. (That'll be at a point where everything is node-based, we have a new format for documents, artwork is rendered in the backend on the GPU, with an upgraded layout widget system, and all textual GUI elements are defined in the backend instead of some still being defined in the frontend.)

So I'd say please be patient for maybe half a year, then we will be much better positioned to support this, and we can eagerly enlist your help contributing translations then!

Thank you for explaining future plans. It sounds exciting (and a lot of work). Yes, please keep me on a list. Once you are ready, I will be glad to help with translations.
