[Request] Smaller media volume adjustment increments
The lowest audio output for media is still too loud. It provides a default of 25 steps only which means listening or watching to media at nighttime is still too loud or when you prefer nobody next to you can listen when you play a voicemessage in public and placing the phone close to your ear.
A finer increment can easily be deployed by the devs as it only requires a simple change and will not have any downsides. ro.config.media_vol_steps=25 change to ro.config.media_vol_steps=75 or 100.
Anything above 50 would be a better number.
The change can be made by adding the line to build.prop file and would benefit in my opinion most GrapheneOS users considering we might want to play media at even lower volume.
Above will only affect media volume and not other sliders like ringtone etc where a finer may not be necessary.

Totally agree with this request. When listing to music or a podcast at nighttime the steps are too small. In the lower volume area your can notice a step is to loud but one step lower is to quiet to hear.
Best would be if the steps became smaller in the lower volume area but I don't seem this supported currently.
Please use thumbs up to support adding something. Comments not adding useful info just annoy us and won't increase the priority.
Apologies for the bump, but it got even worse with the Android 16 update. I feel that the lowest volume setting for nearly everything used to be a bit too much, but now it's just an accessibility issue outright.
