Allow background usage always resets to ON state
I have only been able to replicate this issue with Mull app (v. 127.0.0). Whenever I toggle the "Allow background usage" toggle into OFF state, it resets back to ON state whenever I go back to previous view, switch app or go to lock screen and back. No change on reinstall with clear storage/cache. No change on toggling the setting from app settings or through battery settings. Phone is Pixel 8 Pro running GOS version 2024061400. Mull app in completely fresh install state and not opened or running for the issue to occur.
Can confirm this happens with others apps as well. One example: telegram
I can confirm this behavior for Signal and some other financial apps as well. Would be happy to provide any info to debug the issue.
Is this happening in a secondary user with the app not installed in the Owner user? That's a known Android limitation.
This was happening on main profile. Does not seem to happen since I upgraded to Android 16.
