That's fine to gather data but we want something integrated into the OS.

I believe this should be closed as completed with recent additions to the OS, including but not limited to the introduction of AppCompatConfig.

The ability to do it is there, we just aren't doing much with it yet and it's unrealistic without a dedicated person hired to handle testing including apps.
