Can't exit RTT if activated during a call
Device Pixel 6 Pro Version 2022051100 Device Pixel 6 Version 2022051100
When making a call if you press the RTT button, you can't exit the RTT screen. Even if the RTT feature is deactivated in the settings you can still activate RTT during a call. I was able to reproduce this issue on two phones consistently on both the owner profile and user profile.
Please provide your carrier version string. This can be found in Settings -> Network and Internet -> SIMs -> Carrier version.

Real time text. On my Motorola I have a button that pops up under volume control. If your phone is properly set up it should be able to caption when speech is heard

You are completely missing the point. I don't need or want RTT. This is not a matter of if RTT can translate speech or relay text. This is a built in feature of the phone so setup is irrelevant, and frankly insulting you would insinuate that. If I bump the button during a call I can't exit the RTT screen. So I can't access any of the call function buttons without ending the call and recalling the person back.
My bad didn't know that people could t disconnect when Im using my phone

Yes I know, that's why RTT is a built in feature. It is not a built in feature to get stuck in RTT. I am reporting a bug, not asking how to use a feature. I know you are trying to be helpful and I appreciate that. But please don't crowd the trouble ticket unless you have constructive input for the programmers, a solution to the bug, or to report additional info concerning the bug. The lovely people who read through these trouble tickets don't want to read more then they have to. If you like to have casual conversation please see the Element GrapheneOS room.
Alright thanks for letting me know

It's possible that this is due to the IMS stack always having RTT support enabled, irrespective of the RTT accessibility toggle. https://github.com/GrapheneOS/carriersettings-extractor/pull/16 might fix this partially.
And also as a sanity check, please make sure RTT is 100% disabled in Settings.

Can confirm that RTT is disabled in the settings. I tried turning it on and off again to see if that would have an impact but it did not.
Should be fixed in 13.
