FPS flickering on certain video playback

On some video playback, the fps switches frequently between 60 and 120 fps. You also notice weird screen flickering in consequence of that.

both in a normal window, incognito, or if added to homescreen does not happen in Firefox based browsers (in my case IronFox) It only seems to happen on some Sharkey instances (example1 - example2); though consistently on all videos (all media gets encoded the same way)

temporary workaround: turning on Force peak refresh rate in Developer options, or disable Smooth display in Display settings
