Photos being wrongly orientated

Open Lppsoeht opened this issue 10 months ago • 7 comments

I'm expecting a lot of weirdly rotated pictures, sometimes 180° sometimes 90°, this happens a lot when taking pictures to something at the bottom(with the phone parallel to the ground). I'm thinking it may be a gyroscope problem?

Seems like you want special handling of the phone being approximately level and pointed towards the ground.

Probably yes, most of the times I'm showing something online I'm taking pictures towards the ground, the table, etc.

Maybe disabling sensors would fix this?

That would probably work around it.

I opened #534 and then realised this was already reported. It took me ages to figure out how to reliably replicate it (spoiler: it happens on the second video, and the "Rotation" tag is missing from the metadata).

@pHr34kY Doesn't sound like the same issue.

It has something to with the "Save [photo/video] as previewed" option. For some reason it tries to do that but then breaks and has multiple rotation numbers or something
