Create a refined illustration direction with a clear written rationale so stakeholders and designers understand intent, scope, and how to use illustrations across the design system evolution work.

Objectives

• Refine the agency exploration into a concise, defensible direction.
• Create rationale and usage guidelines (why this look, when teams should use it and when not to).
• Provide a one-pager that our executive stakeholder can review and approve.

Scope

• Illustration style (line/shape, texture, detail, motion considerations).
• Tone and storytelling (audience fit, inclusive representation).
• Usage guidelines (hero vs spot, public vs workspace, "flagship" vs standard
• Token alignment (colour), scalability.

Acceptance criteria

• [x] Direction refined from agency work with an explicit rationale (one-pager).
• [x] One-pager describes rationale and use cases (and when to avoid).
• [x] Feedback file exists and is linked from the issue.
• [x] The feedback file includes a set of illustration samples that exemplify the direction
