Firstly, thanks for the awesome project - I'm already regularly using the GitHub and Jira integrations. A Zendesk Ticket API integration would be very helpful for me as well. I'd be happy to contribute, although my Python is a bit rusty. Would that be accepted here?

Yes, I believe Zendesk would be a good match for bugwarrior.

I recently published a document describing the process I used to create a new service which you might find helpful. If you do use it I'd appreciate any feedback on its deficiencies as it really only reflects the experience of creating one service.
