Translation IT

in my new goteo's installation http://goteo.arya.it/ I've created a file with POedit started from the en like suggested in your note for translator. I've inserted in database (i see it on top in front end) and i've created a folder it_IT in local root folder. I've putted the file .po, named like messages. po and i've tried also to rename in it_IT.po but it seems doesn't work's .. suggestion ? How i can verify which file is used ?

Check if the locale it_IT is properlly installed on the server.

The file must be placed at /locale/it_IT/LC_MESSAGES/it_IT.po

yes .. it is placed correctly .. let me know if you have any ideas to fix it

What about the locale on the server?

Try to trace the bug on the php-gettext or the i18n libraries.

What do you think if i send you the translation file to test if it's work fine on your installation ? so i can exclude bug first ..

i ve traduced directly from panel all interfaces and messages in Italian .. someone interested ?
