Problem with working with C

I use this tutorial https://gourav.io/blog/setup-vscode-to-run-debug-c-cpp-code#collaborate .My C program don't compile and run. I think because of instead of .exe extension file had .out extension. And so on. Can you say what do I need change in this files for working with C language?
