`playsupported` randomly & incorrectly set to false

Sometimes in Chrome (desktop), the playsupported property is erroneously set to false. It happens inconsistently, and sometimes a page refresh causes it to be set correctly. Device Emulator is not active, and this happens only in Chrome.
