New workbox package for Azure Application Insights

Hi, I recently went through the codebase of the workbox-google-analytics subpackage. Being an avid user of Azure services, I wanted to build something similar to workbox-google-analytics for Azure Application Insights. From what I understand, the code should be approximately similar to the google analytics package. Therefore, I wanted to know what an appropriate way would be to contribute to this. Is this something that I can contribute into the main workbox repository, or should I create a separate repository of my own? Are there any legalities involved in contributing such a package?
