css-hyphens sample not auto working

In the css-hyphens demo HTML (live demo at https://googlechrome.github.io/samples/css-hyphens/index.html) the 3rd "elit" does not hyphenate "in the same place as in the second example".

Attached is what I see in Google v57 on Mac OSX 10.9.5

It appears to be "elit" is a poor example of usage. If I edit the HTML with inspector to repeat the "Google ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit." line, the 3rd example does indeed auto hyphenate longer words like "adipiscing"
