Side menu on the main page is not visible

There are two URLs for the main page: https://developer.chrome.com/devtools and https://developer.chrome.com/devtools/index .

On the first one (which is the default one) the right-hand menu looks like this: screen shot 2014-11-21 at 19 19 08

On the other one though everything is OK: screen shot 2014-11-21 at 19 20 12

why not just set a redirect for the one that appears broken, to go to the one that is not?
