Filtering has become inconsistent

To repro:

  • Open a new private browsing window
  • Open https://browser-issue-tracker-search.appspot.com/
  • Uncheck all but "Mozilla"
  • Type "ikea"

You get a lot of results for both Chrome and Firefox. Further checking and unchecking does not reset things.

Ah, one thing to note is that the official https://developers.google.com/web/feedback/browser-bug-searcher url is working as expected.

I can look into making the appspot.com version work again, but we're trying to get folks using the official /web one.

Oh, I didn't know that that was even a thing, OK! I'm happy to switch all my bookmarks to the new one. Maybe just add a redirect?

Hmm, no, I can still reproduce using that URL and the above steps.

Hmm ok.

For me, if I selected just Mozilla, I only get FF results:

But when I deselect all vendors, it shows results for all browsers:

^ is a bug. It should really show "0 results"

Very strange. Did you try in a private browsing window? And did you do the selections before typing the words? Those are my only guesses...

Got it. I searched then filtered. If I filter first, then search... it repros for me.
