User should see correct error message on re-authentication failure

Open WolfVV opened this issue 4 years ago • 4 comments

As part of the full faceverification flow, when a user re-authenticates he face will be matched against his existing facemap record, in case matching fails we need to show a correct error message/explanation

We couldn't match your face to that was used to create this account. We do this check periodically to prevent fraud. Please try again or contact support.
This account current face record will be automatically deleted in X days to protect your privacy
So if after multiple retries you are still unable to pass, you should try again in X days.

Precondition: The "FACE VERIFICATION" pop-up is opened Steps to reproduce:

  1. Click the "OK, Verify me" button
  2. Click the "Got it" button
  3. Try to pass FV
  4. Pay attention to the "Something went wrong..." error message

Actual result: The user isn't able to pass FV because the "Something went wrong..." error screen is displayed Expected result: The user should be able to pass FV without errors

Checked on DEV / QA 1.11.0 -1 Desktop: Windows 10 // Google Chrome 87.0.4280.88 2020-12-14!UNITO-UNDERSCORE!14-58-53.png

@WolfVV this looks like a new feature, that you can re-authenticate your existing user, and in this case it seems like you used a different face when you first passed FV first try to process using a new userr

@WolfVV Yep, it's a part of re-verification flow. On v9 UI there will be specific error screen for that case
