Codex <> Steam Issue

Hello,

I am having lots of crashes in my Codex cracked version of DOOM and have decided to purchase the game on Steam. I am having trouble copying my save file (halfway) to the Steam version and was hoping you could assist. I see a few people on Reddit having similar issues but no one seems to have success with the steps posted

Copying to savegame.unencrypted first worked.

Create base/savegame.unencrypted Transfer from yourrelease to savegame.unencrypted Transfer from savegame.unencrypted to yoursteamid Restart Profit

There was no crash on my end. It just simply didn't work. Following the steps thekjohn posted got it working.

How do u get it to transfer to steam?!

I notice that my use of "<>" got removed.

You have to have played the game and generated a save with Steam to properly transfer to it.

Nevermind I am a bit noob just figured it out thanks alot!

I have done that, but saves I downloaded from the internet from other steam user will not work, or didnt work for me, also I was able to only transfer save from someone who used a bethesda launcher, I followed all your steps i tried with someone else profile/without. It will just say corrupted. The skins also did not transfer, if you think i am wrong let me know because I could easly messed something up.

I created base/savegame.unencrypted, but save manager keeps saying "Destination directory doesn't exist!"
