What algorithm/project did you use to generate the symmetry GT data

I read your paper with great interest. It is very detailed, visual, and mathematically thorough. But one point you breeze past is the method how you generate the ground truth symmetry data. Could you explain which algorithm or project you used, so this work can be applied to other datasets like linemod.

Thank you for your interest. Automatically generating ground truth is hard. We first use the algorithm in paper "Efficient view-based 3d reflection symmetry detection" as well as a simple algorithm to generate a set of symmetry candidates. Then we manually verify and adjust the generated candidates. The algorithms are not well generalizable as it requires careful parameter tunning, so I suggest annotating the symmetry manually for linemod.
