Printing doesn't work, leaves a dead panel on the screen

Mac OS 10.6.8, TJ 1.0.1

When I choose the Print command, a Print panel opens, but then when I click the Print button, everything in the print panel disappears except for the Printer & Presets pop-up menus. From there, clicking Cancel or Print does nothing, and I have to force-quit the application.

How many entries are you trying to print? If the number is huge printing might take some time for processing.

Originally, I tried to print 30 or so kanji...the app just gets stuck. I just tried it with only 4 kanji, and the same things happens. Also, choosing "Save as PDF" gives me a save panel, but clicking Save there just dismisses that and I am back and the Print panel. The Cancel and Print buttons in the Print panel then do nothing and I have to force quit the app.
