Hi! Running ubuntu 20.04 here. applied Adwaita-gray-dark both gtk and shell.

bug: open twitter (with dark mode on). select any text, you can't see the selection. its the same thing in reddit and any dark website. black selection on black background

For what it's worth, I'm on Debian 10 and can confirm this using Chromium, but Firefox ESR appears to be fine.

For Chromium, you could allow it to use its own theme rather than the GTK theme to work around this.
