FreeStyle Libre while scanning you have to choose which app to scan for

Open trizt opened this issue 7 years ago • 4 comments

On my phones I have both Glocosio and LibreLink installed, each time I want to scan in Glocosio I get askedchose an action Glocosio or "Scan Sensor". The selection has to be done without breaking the nfc communication, which is quite difficult.

Scanning from LibreLink do not give this option at all.

Version 1.3.2

I confirm this Issue is real. It's like Glucosio is not identifying correctly the NFC Tag it wants to handle, so the general app selection pops up.

I have cloned the repository and I'm trying to educate myself in how the NFC API and protocols work.

I would comment if I can get any improvement on the current functionality.

I also have noticed that the read value doesn't correspond to the one given by the Official App and the Libre device. But because this is a different Issue, I'll open a separated issue for that.

@jurrabi don't worry about that the values ain't the same, I have noticed the difference between LibreLink and LibApp too. Something I did notice on the LibreLink was that curve/diagram may change at the next time you take a value, so that the previous value do not be on the line, which makes me believe it uses some recalculations based on the values and do not use the raw data.

It's probably something like that. But unfortunately the app is of no use to me like that. I know it is just an experimental feature, but it is a much welcomed one ;)

I'm still investigating all the apps I find that read from Freestyle to figure out how to improve this feature for Glucosio.

Unfortunately people is not as eager to share as I would like.... I'll keep trying.

Sounds like the OpenAPS project, some have improved the engine without sharing it with others. I guess some people are thinking of earning a buck or two instead of thinking of the community's best.
