Supply some default for 'Max initial block'

Something that's been vaguely bothering me in terms of UX: right now at the CLI the user needs to supply a value for 'Max initial block', which I always just set as the value it suggests. It seems silly for the user to have to fill this in manually; we should probably default it to something and provide a flag to override it or such.

Thoughts?
