Can I install gitbook separately?

After I install gitbook-cli, when I use the gitbook init command, it will shows installing gitbook 3.2.2, the problem is it will hang up here, never being able to install gitbook. so I wish I can install gitbook separately and use the gitbook-cli, use npm install gitbook is very fast.
