SID Audio in is mute while playing mod file with internal MOD-player of U2+

I have connected U2+ audio-out to audio-in pin of the SID but SID Audio in is mute (SID volume 0) while playing mod file with internal MOD-player of U2+

It gets unmuted after pressing middle button twice.

So if this is intended, what about a config option to toggle this behaviour? I would really apreciate to listen to MOD-files through my TV spkeakers instead of headphones. Also the connection between U2+ and SID doesn't add to the "cable mess".
