JiffyDos Rom

Open Sutehktd opened this issue 4 years ago • 7 comments

Hello,

It seems the JiifyDos Rom in an alternate Kernal gets corrupt about 5 restarts (main computer ...not built in disk drive) It actually stops the serial chain with real drives if you unplug serial cable the internal drive works again ...restart computer with serial cable back all drives stop. Reload Kernal ROM and you'regood for about 5 reboots...haven't had problem with commodore ROM....i purchased my 64 JiffyDos ROM so irs a legitimate file but Idid try a different JiffyDos ROM file and it did same thing.

Just a heads up not a complaint..The Ultimate Elite is awesome!

Hi

A little more info the JiffyDos issue seems to be specifically tied to switching the internal emulation from 9 to 8 when there is an FD-4000 drive in the chain ...turning the FD off and or on doesn't seem to make a difference....have to reload the c64 JiffyDos Kernal to get it to work....so it seems to have to do with device number changing....enjoy the weekend!
