Try updating Geyser - https://github.com/GeyserMC/Geyser/commit/d5b5712e60107175ccaed7fab21deca09c0f15cf might resolve this issue too.

It's still an issue

Josh65-2201 avatar Feb 13 '25 09:02 Josh65-2201

Is that only on consoles? if yes, is that with 1.21.51 or on 1.21.60?

Further, please attach a geyser dump

Yes, on 1.21.60 https://dump.geysermc.org/jq98YDtYeQKjSJNxxtmSCgwNi5OKqNBd

Hm. It seems to be working fine on other platforms, and unfortunately, I do not have access to console devices to reproduce this on my end :(

Can confirm, this issue occurs. Xbox players cannot see skulls at all, whether placed or in inventory, but can only see them when someone is wearing them. Windows Bedrock Edition and MCPE work fine. Geyser latest version + some previous versions too.

They show fine if I place them as blocks for me

I had the same issue when using the bedrock connect app but have fixed it by switching to the bedrock together app, now all custom skulls display on console.

Able to confirm. I've also tested this with an add-on and BDS; and it seems like it's a bug on the Xbox platform.

Here's the bug report I've made - feel free to upvote it! https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MCPE/issues/MCPE-201636

I think that beacuse it works fine on other platforms, I think that it can be caused by way that you connect to server, beacuse on game cosnoles you can't join external servers in same way as on other platforms and you need some other way to do this. I think that someone should try this on PlayStation and Nintendo Switch or on Xbox using different way to join server. It's also possible that it's client issue of Xbox version of Minecraft.

I can reproduce this on a singleplayer Xbox world, so, that's unlikely to be the issue

Does this happen only on Xbox? And how did you reproduced it in singleplayer when there are no skulls with skins on Vanilla Bedrock Edition?

I've used an add-on with custom blocks that's using the same technique as we do for Geyser's custom skulls; the linked Mojang bug report shows that
