[Feature Request] Clarify Wording on Global Linking Unlink Message

Open JosTheDude opened this issue 4 months ago • 2 comments

When a bedrock player links their account to their Java Edition - it wipes their data as intended to fit the Java Edition account. However, players that don't want this to happen and want to unlink their accounts try to do /unlinkaccount on the server they play on, which offers this following vague message:

This message should be made customizable or be clarified to specify how to unlink accounts on servers with Global Linking.

Do you have any suggestions on what the wording should be to make it clearer?

Also suggesting a dedicated wiki article for just how to unlink to make this easier as well as making the message itself customizable.

Do you have any suggestions on what the wording should be to make it clearer?

"This server has Global Linking enabled! In order to unlink your account, you'll need to follow this guide: (dedicated wiki article for unlinking accounts)"

If it's possible for a longer message, potentially:

"This server has Global Linking enabled! In order to unlink, you'll need to join link.geysermc.org with port 19132 and re-run the /unlinkaccount command."

I'd only suggest this one if the message is customizable as it does refer to a different server.
