AppImage for 12 not working on Linux - Stuck on 10 still
I mentioned this in an earlier comment when trying to load Scatter 11. It will download, but won't open. The same is happening with Scatter 12 now. Everything seems fine until I try to open the app it simply does nothing.
At this point, it appears that Scatter 10 is becoming obsolete. Many sites won't recognize it. So my ability to perform simple functions has become very limited.
My OS is up to date. Any suggestions on how I might get this to work?
I was able to get some help on this and it finally worked.
run in terminal: "sudo sysctl kernel.unprivileged_userns_clone=1" and try starting the usual way
How did you get help? I cannot access https://support.get-scatter.com/, and every browser I tried say it's not secure. Even if I force access, it doesn't work. Do you have their e-mail? Why don't they answer their reddit or even github?
I contacted the company I bought my computer from. It came with Linux preinstalled. It's actually a Linux issue, not Scatter. I have it happening with several applications and have to run the fix each time I start in order to access them.
Thank you for your answer. Still, I don't understand why not just mine, but the vast majority of issues here are not replied to. Is the developer still active?
I'm not positive, but I think Scatter became a low priority for them. @nsjames , maybe you can clarify if I misunderstand.
