There is no way of pasting clipboard as plain text

There is no way for pasting clipboard as plain text in the post editor. You always get rich text, which is not always what you want.

Right now the process for getting unformatted plain text is as follows:

  1. Select text from a web page, for example, that you want to quote.
  2. Go to a plain text editor and paste the text.
  3. Select and copy the text in plain text editor.
  4. Paste to Publii (now converted to plain text).

This gets tedious quite fast.

So, I suggest adding a right click menu (or something similar) with "Paste as plain text" option.

Hi,

Sounds like a good idea - I will try to implement it in the 0.35 release as 0.34 release is full of tasks at this moment :)

As a general tip, you can use the following shortcut: CTRL + ALT + V

Hi! Would like to ping this topic. My non-dev friend had caught exact this issue while copy-pasting text from Facebook posts to the WYSIWYG editor. It was dragging html elements like DIVs and STYLE attributes... and eventually breaking the home page CSS magic.

Environment: Windows 11 + Chrome browser + Publii 0.38.3.

Paste-without-formatting would be great to have!

Could not make it paste anything in Publii WYSIWYG editor with that combination. Environment: Windows 11 + Publii 0.38.3.

I continue to experience this issue in 0.42.1.
