[Bug]: Resized image is bigger than the original

Hi,

I'm facing an issue, when the "Enable responsive images" function is enabled, the "2xl" and "lg" sizes of the image has a bigger size than the original.

Original image: 1280 x 622 px and 127KB "2xl" version: 1280 x 622 px and 180KB "lg" version: 1024 x 498 px and 417KB

The highlighted image is the original:

It seems only .png pictures are affected.

Could you please investigate this issue?

Steps to reproduce

1. Enable the "Enable responsive images" function
2. Create a new post, and upload a .png image as a featured image with size 1280x622, or something similar
3. Preview your changes
4. Check the size of images
