Suggestion: use docforth

Have you considered using docforth for displaying Forth source code files?

Looking back at this ticket I think that markdown has gained a lot more traction over the last years. DocGen (VFX's documentation generator) for example can output markdown. I guess the way to go forward with this would be to add a markdown output for docforth and then include the resulting markdown in the package. Maybe even as ReadMe.md itself.

What are your thought on this?
