Problem Default members can't use their own backpacks

What I have tried i've tried to add the permissions to "essentialsx" plugin settings, and i can't access the permissions.yml file because of aternos is trash, and for god knows what reason all permissions plugins are blocked, is there any way of giving users access to their backpacks without having to add them as op?

minecraft version 1.18.1 (spigot) with java 17.0.1

I am sorry, there currently is no way of using the plugin without setting permissions. I have never used aternos, but I created an account and was able to install both bpermissions and luckperms without problems. Not sure about essentialsx, but I don't think it has a permission management system bundled.

The permission system of bukkit hasn't changed since the beta days. Any permission plugin that has been updated to use UUIDs to handle name changes (that was back in the days of MC 1.8) should work perfectly fine today.
