[Bug]: All icons disappear after running for some time

Sometimes, all icons disappear after Tuba runs for a long time

Steps To Reproduce

1. Open Tuba
2. Run for a long time, perhaps leave it overnight
3. All icons disappear

That's weird :/ especially the close button. It leads me to believe that it's a bug with something else along the stack... Make sure to keep your system up to date, as I assume the 39 update might also have something to do with it, until I investigate it further!
