autocorrect
on my computer with my android and google keyboard it always auto"corrects" words even though it is deactivated and never does it on my phone itself.
I have the same problem and suspect it has to do with some settings to be connected to the touch keyboard which are ignored for other keyboards. None of the online tips help for scrcpy, at least wth Android 16. The "keyboard" section of the settings only shows "On-screen keyboard"

weirdly enough I still have Android 13 and this started happening some months ago. I use it since 3 years and didnt happen in the beginning.
It's very annoying. I have installed Florisboard which proves that disabling the Gboard keyboard app does solve this particular problem (as a work-around to the bug), but unfortunately this keyboard app is completely unusable if you want to use any kind of message posting app as you can't post with the keyboard.
The search for a bug work-around continues.

I am using Heliboard atm it is also here on github and not having this problem.
Workaround:
- Connect any "real" keyboard (Bluetooth keyboard worked fine in my case!)
- You will now see a "physical keyboard" section in the GBoard settings
Was struggling with the same issue for months and now it's gone
I don't own a bluetooth keyboard
Dang. this has only become more and more frustrating. I have tried so many keyboard apps and they either work OK with the scrcpy keyboard or lack critical features.
I guess I'm just absolutely boned
got same problem and I found solution!! use command scrcpy --keyboard=uhid just once so that "physical keyboard" section in the GBoard settings appears; there u have to disable autocorrection and problem is completely fixed; u dont need to use "scrcpy --keyboard=uhid" any more; gboard will again stop showing this secion but it will keep the updated setting FYI @ballo
