Cannot Detect PC on the Netwrok

Open icecat2005 opened this issue 3 years ago • 4 comments

I use AudioRelay to stream my PC audio to my Galaxy Note 9. When I am using gnirehtet, the AudioRelay is unable to find the desktop on the network. The app works perfectly fine when either:

  1. Both devices are on the same WiFi Network.
  2. One device is connected to the other's hotspot.
  3. PC is connected to Mobile USB tethering.

Gnirehtet does not make the device on the same network as the computer: it just relays the connections on the desktop. So that's expected that the device and the computer do not see each other as if they were on the same network.

I tried connecting to the IP address of its server process manually. It keeps disconnecting and reconnecting.

I have doubts about the quality of the USB cable and would like to test the speed with iperf. I started the server on the PC (192.168.1.2) and also started the server on the router (192.168.1.1).

Both of these addresses are not accessible from my Android device via gnirehtet.

But at the same time, if I run Virtual Desktop on PC and Android, then it works correctly.

I tried addresses: 10.0.0.1, 192.168.56.1 but it doesn't work.

Tell me, maybe there is a way to connect from an Android device to a PC? After all, Virtual Desktop is somehow connected?

Same issue here, any fix for using this with AudioRelay?
